Democracy Meets Medicine: An Interview with Prof. Heinze on #GesundheitSachsenAnhalt
In the sixth episode of the video series #GesundheitSachsenAnhalt, Steffi Suchant, head of the TK Regional Office for Saxony-Anhalt, welcomed our Medical Director and Chairman of the Board, Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h. c. Hans-Jochen Heinze, for an interview.
Recorded in the new Lecture Hall 7 on our UMMD campus, Prof. Heinze explains the motivations behind launching the lecture series “Democracy Meets Medicine”. In doing so, he vividly illustrates how closely mental well-being and social stability are intertwined and why growing psychological stress and economic pressure pose a tangible threat to democratic structures. In addition to his expert insights, Prof. Heinze also shares personal reflections and reveals the role that reading aloud has played in his family.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Techniker Krankenkasse for the successful interview and for providing the video footage.
