The dental laboratory of the clinic has two modern dental workstations. In addition to manufacturing various types of dental prostheses for the prosthetic care of outpatients, both employees primarily perform the tasks of a special laboratory for maxillofacial surgery. Among the most demanding services in this field are the preparation of models for dysgnathia operations and the fabrication of obturator prostheses following tumor operations and cyst removals. Furthermore, secondary constructions after implant restorations, jaw fracture splints and functional orthodontic appliances for patients with temporomandibular joint disorders are manufactured. In addition to the outpatient and inpatient own requirements of maxillofacial surgery, the services of the laboratory are also used by other parts of the hospital, for example in the manufacture of dental protection plates for use during operations in other departments.
