A recent report in the *Süddeutsche Zeitung* addresses serious allegations of abuse of power and sexual misconduct at our University Medical Center.
We take the allegations raised in the report and the related issues very seriously. An external law firm has already been retained to conduct a comprehensive, independent, and unbiased investigation into the matter.
The investigation is currently underway. We ask for your understanding that we cannot comment on specific details while the investigation is ongoing.
At the same time, it is important to us that individuals who provide information or contribute to the investigation can participate in the process without fear of retaliation. We take such reports very seriously.
This approach serves both to ensure a thorough and unbiased investigation of the allegations raised and to protect the personal rights of all individuals involved.
We ask that media inquiries regarding this matter be forwarded directly—without any comment from us—to the university’s central press office or the joint press office of the University Medical Center.
