The clinic has a modern operating wing with 2 fully air-conditioned operating rooms. This is located in the immediate vicinity of the ward area, so that there are no long transport routes for the patients to be operated on. In addition to the physicians, 5 operating room nurses are responsible for performing the approximately 1,450 operations per year. The majority of the operations are performed under general anesthesia. For this purpose, we have a senior physician from the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy at our disposal. The available equipment (surgical microscope, CO2 laser, endoscopy) allows the use of modern surgical procedures. Computer-supported information processing between the clinics enables X-ray images and examination findings to be called up and evaluated digitally directly in the operating room.
