The clinic provides treatment of benign and malignant tumors of the oral cavity, facial soft tissue and facial skull bones. Often, malignant tumors require additional radiation treatment. This is carried out in close cooperation with the Clinic for Radiotherapy. Necessary operations to restore form and function are also planned during treatment. If necessary, special prostheses are made. After the initial treatment of the tumor, follow-up care is an essential part of the treatment. This involves clinical checks, ultrasound examinations and radiological examinations to detect any tumor recurrence at an early stage. If necessary, further surgical interventions are planned for defect reconstruction and masticatory rehabilitation.

As part of the certification as an oncology center, complex patient cases are presented in the so-called interdisciplinary tumor board. Together with us, the specialist colleagues from ENT medicine, radiology, radiotherapy, pathology and hemato-oncology consult on the best possible therapy.

Our patients are also supported by a psychosomatic contact person and a nurse specialized in the field of oncology. Thus, a comprehensive tumor complex treatment can be guaranteed in our clinic according to the current guidelines.
