The primary purpose of the consultation is the outpatient follow-up treatment and care of patients who have undergone surgery following bone injuries to the upper and/or lower jaw. In addition to patients with fractures of the facial skull, patients with injuries to the teeth and facial soft tissues are also followed up.
Osteosynthesis procedures are performed at our clinic according to modern international standards. Mini and micro plates made of titanium and special medical steel are used to stabilize the fractured bones. Especially for the treatment of temporomandibular joint fractures a joint plate was developed in our clinic. The development and application of resorbable osteosynthesis materials is at the same time a research task of the clinic.
